In a recent blog post, Richard Branson, Virgin Group founder, has sparked a discussion on holiday entitlement, describing Netflix’s vacation policy of leaving employees in control of when and how long they go holiday as ‘one of the simplest and smartest initiatives I have heard of in a long time’.

Employees who are able to work from home are more productive than their office-bound colleagues because they are less distracted, grateful for the flexibility and the time they save on commuting is ploughed back into work.

Better support for working carers would give businesses and the UK economy a much needed boost and would save taxpayers £1.3 billion a year, according to a recently published report.
